Irish Coffee Affogato

This classic Italian after-dinner treat is well suited for St. Patrick’s Day. We spiked the espresso with a little Irish whiskey and Chocolate Dark Balsamic, a combination that pairs perfectly with mint chocolate chip ice cream. 

Makes 1 cocktail 

Ingredients: 

1/2 ounce Irish whiskey

1/2 ounce Chocolate Dark Balsamic

2 ounces brewed espresso coffee 

1/4-1/2 cup mint chocolate chip ice cream 

Mint sprig, for garnish 

Instructions 

Pour whiskey, balsamic, and coffee into a martini or margarita glass. Top the coffee mixture with a hearty scoop of ice cream and garnish with fresh mint before serving.
