Balsamic Bang Bang BBQ Shrimp
This grilled twist on classic bang bang shrimp skips the fryer for bold, smoky flavor. Shrimp are marinated in a sweet chili, Bella Cucina Balsamic Mustard, Honey Ginger White Balsamic, and Roasted Sesame Oil blend, then grilled to perfection. The balsamic-mustard combo delivers a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and zesty flavors.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
½ cup sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons Bella Cucina Balsamic Mustard
2 tablespoons Honey Ginger White Balsamic
2 teaspoons sriracha
2 teaspoons Roasted Sesame Oil
½ cup mayonnaise
1 ½ pounds large raw shrimp, peeled
1 head bibb lettuce, leaves removed
¼ cup fresh scallions, chopped
¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 lime, sliced
Instructions
To make the marinade, place sweet chili sauce, mustard, Honey Ginger Balsamic Vinegar, sriracha, and sesame oil in a medium bowl, whisk to combine, and divide the mixture in half.
Combine one of the halves in a medium bowl with mayonnaise and whisk to combine the dipping sauce. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Place the remaining mixture in a zipper baggie or sealable container, add the shrimp, and toss to coat. Place in the refrigerator and marinate for 1 hour.
Preheat a gas grill to medium heat or prep coals for a charcoal grill. Once hot, place the shrimp on the grill, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until cooked through.
Place the lettuce leaves on a large platter and top with grilled shrimp. Sprinkle the shrimp with chopped scallions and cilantro and serve with lime slices and dipping sauce.
