Blistered Balsamic Asparagus with Strawberry, Basil, & Feta Topping
This easy side dish is perfect for seasonal meals. Asparagus is broiled (or grilled) until lightly charred, then tossed with our Basil Infused Olive Oil and Strawberry Dark Balsamic. The result is a vibrant mix of herbaceous and fruity flavors that elevate savory and sweet dishes.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed
2 shallots, peeled and quartered
2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
2 tablespoons Basil Infused Olive Oil, plus extra for drizzling
2 tablespoons Strawberry Infused Dark Balsamic Vinegar, plus extra for drizzling
1 teaspoons Cyprus Flake Sea Salt
Pinch of cracked black pepper
1 cup fresh strawberries, trimmed and diced
¼ cup feta cheese, crumbled
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
Preheat the oven to broil on high and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spread the asparagus, shallots, and garlic out in an even layer and drizzle with Basil Infused Olive Oil and Strawberry Infused Dark Balsamic Vinegar. Season the veggies with salt and pepper and place them in the oven. Broil for 10 to 12 minutes or until the asparagus has blistered.
Remove from the oven and top with fresh strawberries, feta, and fresh basil. Drizzle with a little extra Basil Infused Olive Oil and Strawberry Infused Dark Balsamic Vinegar before serving.
