Huli Huli Grilled Chicken Recipe
Fire up the grill with this Hawaiian-inspired BBQ chicken, an easy, flavorful recipe perfect for summer. The sweet and savory marinade creates a caramelized, smoky crust and infuses the chicken with bold tropical flavor. We used Pineapple White Balsamic, Bourbon Maple Dark Balsamic, and Smoked Paprika for a delicious balance of fruit, earth, and spice.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
Marinade:
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup Pineapple Infused White Balsamic
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Bourbon Maple Infused Dark Balsamic
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled and minced
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3 tablespoons fresh scallions, chopped
1 lime, cut into wedges
Grilled pineapple rings or chunks, for serving and garnishing
Instructions:
Place ketchup, Pineapple Infused White Balsamic, brown sugar, Bourbon Maple Infused Dark Balsamic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic cloves, ginger, and Smoked Paprika in a medium bowl and whisk to combine the marinade.
Coat the chicken breasts in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
Preheat a gas grill to medium-high heat or prep coals for a charcoal grill (lightly brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking).
Once the grill is hot, remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Grill for 10 to 15 minutes or until cooked through. While grilling, occasionally brush the chicken breasts with any reserved marinade.
Remove the chicken from the grill and set aside to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish the grilled chicken with scallions, lime, and grilled pineapple.
